Packing Hand Luggage Only in Winter | TRAVEL


I'm heading to Poole, England to spend the Christmas and New Year period (December 23rd, 2017- January 7th, 2018) with some of my close friends and their families. After England, I'll then be flying to Copenhagen for a few days (January 8th, 2018 - January 12th, 2018) and then after that, I'll be flying to Iceland (January 13th, 2018 - January 20th, 2018). Unfortunately, because I was told about my exam dates so late and not all at once I'm actually flying back to Madrid between every trip (sucks a lot I know). Luckily between every trip, it's only short stopovers!

 I decided to book flights that only included Hand Luggage since it was a lot cheaper than paying for flights with checked luggage. All of the airlines I'm flying on (Air Europa, Ryan Air and Norwegian Air Shuttle) have a Carry On Luggage allowance of 10kgs. I can also bring one handbag/small backpack with me on the plane so that helps with weight too.

I'll be leaving my large suitcases in storage at a hostel in Madrid while I'm away and won't have access to them until I'm back in Madrid on the 20th of January, 2018- two days before I fly home to Perth! So basically I'll be living out of my Hand Luggage for almost a month! Because of this, it was really important to me that when I was packing that I didn't forget anything. Actually, this is always important to me. So here is another extremely organised and precise packing list!

I'll be flying with a suitcase called 'The Lite' in the size small. I got this suitcase from Primark and it's absolutely awesome plus it only weighs 1.60kgs. I've only done one trip with it so far however it was perfect, and a lot easier than lugging a duffle bag around.

  • 3x Knitted jumpers and or sweaters
  • 1-quart size clear bag with all my liquids in it (see above)
